My Banged Up Hubby

I wish I had more experience with the wounded. Hubby man loves going mountain bike riding with friends, and always comes home with scrapes, bumps, and bruises.

This last adventure ride has some especially bad ones. We're talking multicolored 6-inch diameter bruises with scars and swelling. Lucky for me, he knows how to handle theses things well.

But every time he gets sick or hurt, I find myself wishing I were better able to help him without having to make calls to family, Google his symptoms, or ask him what I should do.

So while I worry and practically cry every time he hurts himself, he walks in the door treading dirt all over the place, grass in his hair, blood on his knees, and the biggest grin you've ever seen on a full grown man.

He looks so happy!

  1. Hey! I'm so glad you left a comment at my blog otherwise I wouldn't have discovered yours-I LOVE IT- it's great reading! Even when I saw your name "delighted scribbler"- I got very excited- what a great name!

btw hehe, I too understand what you mention in this post-coming from a healing background though can I recommend ZHENG GU SHUI- a chinese linament for all those 6 inch diameter bruises LOL and ICE first!! The liniment applied regularly will hasten the healing big time...good luck! :)

  2. Wow!! I used to Mountain bike and once got an injury that hurt for 10 years! I used to carry neosporin in my bike bag along with my tire repair kit! Ugg...um I don't ride anymore. =) I've since started playing saxophone professionally, and never wanted to risk my wrists. =)

Thanks for stopping by my blog. I had forgotten that part of "You've Got Mail"!

    smiles,
    Kathy

  3. Thanks for the advice. I'm going to restock my first aid kit. All it has is gauze, burn cream, and a ton of band aides. We've used everything else.

So I'll get Zheng Gu Shui, neosporin, more insta-icepacks, and doctor on speed dial.

    Thanks!
