Midnight Brainsparks

I have a story. For months I've written half pieces and outlines to enter into short story contests that just don't seem to take off. About a week ago or maybe ten days, I wrote a short outline, nothing detailed, just eight points. It was part of a brainstorming session, so I had hoped it would spark ideas, but didn't really expect the little sequence to actually turn into anything. Last night between 11:30 and 3:00 am it bloomed into a full length story... that has nothing to do with the my starting theme and reads more like a screen play. I guess my muse doesn't like to be told what to do either. So I guess now, while I let the thing simmer, it's time to find a place for it.
