A Morning Person Married to... Me

If marriage requirements included morning mood compatibility, the hubby and I would have been in serious trouble.

When we first got together, he was an up-at-dawn, TV-watching, radio-listening, booty-shaking morning person.

I was... not. For me, the only good morning was one I could mostly sleep through. I loved absolute silence, and I sort of floated through the first hour of my day.

The odd part is that he was the one with insomnia problems.

Anyway, over the years we've changed our lifestyle, our diet, and our sleep patterns.

He no longer has insomnia and---thankfully---sleeps until about 7:30 a.m. And I'm up by 8 a.m. most mornings.

The TV is definitely out, but so is complete silence.

He still dances and I still float, but there's more harmony in our daily ritual and consequently in our life.
